Last March 27th, 2023, the team from the University of Zaragoza organized the eSTEM Multiplier Event in Zaragoza. It was done as part of the second training week of the ODECO project, a 4-year Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network initiative.
This training week had the participation of the 15 ESRs (future PhD and, probably, future professor at universities across the World), as well as they supervisors, coming from SIX European universities, ONE research center, and ONE private company. During the event, more than 30 people could learn the possibilities that Open Data provides as a tool for developing training material under the Dataset Base learning approach, in connection with the other methodologies.
It was remarked the necessity to used Dataset-Based Learning is a methodology in conjunction with the other ones worked by the consortium. Several ESRs were interested in how transfer the experience in universities to secondary school. In this sense, a very interesting debate was done after the presentation, which was extended during the lunch. An open door was left for making the eSTEM results part of the development of some activities in one of the thesis in progress.
