On 20.03.2023, we invite all interested parties from university didactics as well as university teachers to the Laboratory of Faculty of Electronics and Computer Science (E LIWE, see the layout below) at the Koszalin University of Technology.
During our three-hour event from 10 a.m to 1 p.m., four AI-supported toolboxes that support the main results of the eSTEM project will be presented, illustrated with examples of case studies showing the possibilities of supporting teachers in the further development of their courses in terms of activating teaching-learning methodologies. Presentations conducted interactively, with participants of the meeting, cover the following topics: Case study on Scenario Based Learning approach to preparation of Strategic Management lecture, Justyna Patalas-Maliszewska from University of Zielona Gora; Action learning in Production 4.0, Arkadiusz Gola from Lublin University of Technolo, as well as What is the number of pi? – example of use the Inquiry-based Learning approach, Eryk Szwarc from Koszalin University of Technology.
After a welcome by the Dean of Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science of Koszalin University of Technology Prof. Krzysztof Rokosz, and Introduction to eSTEM project by Grzegorz Bocewicz, the presentation of the eSTEM project outputs delivered by Rafał Wojszczyk introduces the issue of developing modern techniques and tools to support teachers in the independent development of activating teaching scenarios. The presented case studies illustrate these possibilities by referring to the experience of other academic centers, providing examples of implementation of own (taking into account the specificity of academic environments) didactic scenarios.
The highlight is an AI tool (SuperFast Learning Machine) that supports teachers in analysing various document sources and producing materials for their courses. We will show examples of how to use the AI tool and give the opportunity to test it.
