27 March 2023 – Using Open Data for developing learning activities: the eSTEM project experience

The team from the University of Zaragoza will organize the Multiplier Event in Zaragoza next March 27th, 2023. Under the title “Using Open Data for developing learning activities: the eSTEM project experience”, the team will
put the focus on the possibilities that the Dataset-Based Learning methodology can provide by working with open data and the Superfast Learning Machine. This Multiplier Event will put the focus in the use of open data as a very valuable resource to be used in learning activities design.

Guided by Professor F. Javier Zarazaga-Soria, the audience will have a global perspective of the Erasmus+ project and its main results. Following, the details of the Dataset-Based Learning methodology will be presented, as well
as its connection with the other methodologies. In this sense, Dataset-Based Learning is a methodology that needs to be used in conjunction with the other ones worked by the consortium. The session will end with some
practical experiences, and the lessons learned from them.

This event will be part of the second training week of the ODECO project, a 4-year Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network initiative. This training week will have the participation of the 15 ESRs (future PhD and, probably, future professor at universities across the World), as well as they supervisors, coming from SIX European universities, ONE research center, and ONE private company.
